I personally use them in flight, or when listening music. Otherwise, nothing beats the Plantronics Voyager Legend. I can basically have calls from a pub with loud noise and the noise cancellation is superb

I picked up a new Blue Parrot VXi350 a few weeks ago and nothing but bluetooth cutout and static. I use my old BlueParrot VXi250 headset (can you tell I like the BlueParrot line?) and clean as whistle. Not sure what could cause it. Tried moving stuff around. One is BT 4.1, while the other is BT 2 I think. I think that's the only difference.

Have you looked at Bluetooth smart scanner and checked the signals coming out of the new one?

It may have a fault and the signal strength is low
