Doing almost the same, powerstrip on one side and QNAP & Switch PSU on the other.

I use US for powerstrip and a travel adapter on the plug going to the wall socket. Worked great for both US & UK now. Only problem is that most or all travel adapters doesn't have ground.

I think the email is just to explain that AHV is delivered at no cost if you'd buy the kit but I don't typically get involved in these marketing mailings

Which is the foundation of the storage solution+prism etc etc

So NX (SMC), HX (Lenovo) or XC (Dell) isn't just the hardware, it's the software on top too. You can pick one of the 4 supported hypervisors (AHV, vSphere, Hyper-V or XenServer where AHV comes pre packaged)
