Hi @Melvin, Thanks for your question.
From my experience, following are the challenges:
Thanks for your question:
• The founding team of any company forms the initial DNA. Most People Ops leaders/HR managers base their research on these initial set of people, eventually affecting scalability.
• Hiring - as a early start up, recruitment can get very tricky. There are no definite answers at this stage and everything is an assumption. Hence, setting up hiring processes is harder.
• Systems - Implementing and getting people to follow systems is a difficult task. Most tools do not serve a early start-up.
• Team members with little to no experience chime in and give suggestions. They get upset if its not taken up.
• Most companies club 2-3 roles into one. For example: HR and Admin, Operations and accounts. Leading to delay in strategy and executions.
• Measuring performance of an individual.
• Deprioritizing process set-up to get actual work done, reactive approach.
