My question --> How can companies put together a Benefits survey for their employees if they want to take a pulse check on their benefits offerings (what works, what would they like to see added, etc.)

Thanks for the question @[TSOW] Priya Bhatt. I would recommend the survey to be a 4 part process: • Audit: Any survey needs to start with an audit to understand how well the policies have been laid out. Most often than not, benefits are ambiguous. Ensure the current benefits of the company is documented with all the key details. For example: The policy for a wellness programme should - Define objective, mention all the initiatives taken, limitations for each initiative and the process to follow for the person availing. Also, gather any data that gives an idea of employee's inclination towards every benefits. • Drafting a Survey: The metrics you've gathered becomes your point X. The objective of the survey has to be to improvise and take it to point Y. The survey can be broad with major sections to analyze - Understanding of current benefits, Relevance and Satisfaction, Improvement factors and recommendations. Make the answers quantifiable(with scores) and give space to express their opinions. • Participation in survey: You will observe a higher participation rate if the objective of the survey is communicated clearly. Specify the action items and survey time to make it easy for your team to understand. If you're a small company - having the leadership team express their interest helps to drive home the objective. • Feedback implementation: Analyze the responses and make highlights of what is working well and what isn't. For new benefits suggested- Check for scalability, ROI, culture fit and Effectiveness .etc. Revamp the benefits package to reflect the feedback from the survey. Present the changes to employees to make them feel involved and communicate the value-add. Unless, the size of the company grows 1.5-2x. The frequency of the benefit survey has to be Bi-annual/annual considering the fact that it’s a tedious process and involves org wide participation.
