Thank you! The “add new” button will not show if it is the Linked side of an Automatic link field. You may also try choosing the link from the other direction when you are choosing your options in the drop down. If this does not help, please reach out to support so we can look at your app specifically 🙂

This is how I defined the Help Desk Notes table

On “Help Desk Notes” can you change this to “Link to multiple records?” If the connection starts with the table you are on to define the connection the Add New button should show, in my example below, when I use the “Events” table connection I can add new, but not from the “Students” connector:
