Could you create a new action button to edit the record rather than the built in Edit button? You could then create two identical buttons that will appear: one if they're an admin, one if the other case is true.

Hi Ruchika - you could do what M Lowell has stated, which is good because it is native. Alternatively, you can use a 3rd party form to update the information using an embed widget.

@incalculable-ice-39910 A custom action button will not take the user to the Edit Layout, that would have been perfect otherwise. @wonderful-pharmacist-31651 need to keep it consistent to the Edit across other tables.
