It’s more of number 4. Land on any page, click CTA. Submit the info in the demo form and get success message there itself. Yes , you’re right , our MQL is Book a demo

Here is the deal, you can simply find pageloads in GA, but you need to log the CTA clicked and once the form is submitted, send another event.

You can now create a funnel and see the MQL conversion

Ahrefs - usability + their content is really helpful.

*SEMrush* - if you want to use it for SEO, Social Media &amp; google ads

*Ahrefs* - if you want to use it for SEO

have used both and i prefer ahrefs because i feel it is more consistent with competitor intelligence

you can run site audits using screamingfrog as well

Ahrefs- Link analysis. Both Internal &amp; external. Site Audit. This is possible in the free plan. 
SEMrush- everything else! 

Ahrefs - By far the best. The only reason I will use semrush is for their paid campaigns data

Ahrefs. I have used both and found SEMrush to be confusing. Plus, someone on the internet conducted a study on the efficacy of the data from 4-5 tools, and Ahrefs came out as the winner.

Ahrefs is best when it comes to backlinks. Be it content gap to build more links or competitor analysis as well. But for keyword research and content planning, Semrush is better. IMO

why blog? is your goal to write x blogs or is your goal to get more business?

I am assuming it is for SEO purposes because it is not on <#C02UJ1ED951|> Build a user persona, identify where your product should come into their radar and then start by researching for good intent topics/keywords, building the content and ranking them. You can additionally build out in-depth content on current trends in the space depending on your bandwidth to ensure share-ability.

Yes, 2 personas (in broader terms)

Start with absolutely low volume keywords (long tail). Use zero volume keywords (these convert the most). Find these keywords via reddit, Quora, Google "search suggestions", Google "People also ask", Google "related searches".

Focus on topic clusters. Optimize pages for schema. Internal linking.

Page interaction, through website chat, is a generally a good signal for SEO, provided it doesnt increase your page load times, doesnt cause problems with UX/navigation and someone on your side actually engages with those chat leads and not make them wait.

Pickup a chatbot which integrates well with your MA tool because I have seen chat lead attribution to be the biggest issue. If you use Hubspot, they have a chat tool but not sure how good it is.

It's very flexible with a lot of good integrations to tap into your existing workflows

The only way a chatbot may help with SEO, is if it somehow reduced your pages bounce rate.
It's more likely to increase load times and affect negatively.

The only reason I would relate SEO and chatbots is if there are page son your website which are getting good organic traffic and the chatbot helps increase conversion rates. I.e. it's not helping with SEO but helping with converting organic search traffic.

google is known to show search results specific to search query. for certain queries, video results are preferred, for example anything involving showing of steps/tutorial/process. such queries will benefit from having a well optimized YT listing. we tried it and it has worked well.

another thing we used to do was to have a blog post for the same search query and embed that video into the blog and then link this blog post back from the video description on YT.

use structured data for video extensively for technical SEO: <https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/structured-data/video>

Like <@U02USELSBRT> said - if it’s steps, listing, process - YT videos generally do come. Interlinking of blog with YT videos has worked well for us too

But i made the startup i am consulting now to create 3-4 trial accounts in Semrush, and with that we did 3-4 months worth of content research (with 3-4 credit cards). Once we start seeing the results (traffic, signups) from SEO, we will subscribe to the base plan.

Also, link exchanges would work if the sites and blog posts are quite relevant. Relevancy matters a lot in acquiring a good link.

Sharing my sincere request. Ofcourse open to other opinions as well. Please please don't make any channels dedicated to link building in whatever context. There is no dearth of such platforms and for the most sincere intent people who want to partner/build links there are better ways without exposing a fault/spam point for such an amazing community here. I can imagine people joining/reaching out with intent only to do link exchange. From my limited experiences and observation, link exchange channels/groups are like Mysore Paak sweet for short sighted, lazy marketers. Nothing against sincere and hard working link builders who i think can find way more active and nurturing niche communities for the purpose.

I guess you've exhausted your monthly crawl budget. This happens when you submit your sitemap too many times in a given span of time. You can either use the ping function on google for high priority blogs, or wait for the refresh cycle and these will get indexed automatically.

Faced this at my last company and the shortest way to get them indexed is to use this tool: <http://indexmenow.com|indexmenow.com>

You're welcome! 99% of our pages got indexed. So, it should work.

Before using indexmenow, just make sure your basics are in place. Like you have a footer with the address, etc., your images are loading properly, etc.

I've seen a couple of these issues result in pages not being indexed and once fixed, within 2-3 weeks, the pages were indexed.

Someone on blackhatforum decoded how this indexing tools scams the shit out of people under the disguise of getting indexed. So it was an eye opener back then.

I would not recommend this tool at all.

Currently it shows me 3 URLs indexed with some kind of fake proof.

Infact, none of the URLs are indexed. I have contacted their support. Don't buy this tool. $49 would go in vain.

These services should send Google spider to your sites. But this guy had hosted his own nginx server/google-spider logs. None of them got it.

IMO, Indexing services stopped working from 2018ish something.

"Discovered but not indexed"~ a lot of folk have been complaining about this indexation issue for quite sometime. We were also facing the same issue but recently we did something that got most of our webpages indexed.

We were particularly a new website, and this indexation issue got resolved after we made the following changes and maintained the following practises:-
1. Added our business address, contact details in the footer,
2. Added a privacy policy page.
3. Increased the no of webpages.
4. Consistently created unique content.
5. Made sure our website is technically healthy(basic tech seo hygiene)
Doing this not only got most of our webpages indexed but also increased our daily impressions and clicks by 2x.

Can you give context/correlation of L1 and L0 with SEO in your marketing org. What is the mandate given to you/breakdown you need to do with the L1 and L0

My focus metric is ensuring we are ranked on page 1, the complementary metric to that would be L1 i.e. ensuring website visits increase too. Hope this helps

I get the context better now. thanks. I personally have experience with owning/defining OKRs like the ones mentioned in below link. The L0/L1 type of definition is a bit new to me.

If the OKR model doesn’t fit your model, you can atleast understand the range of metrics to track/how to define the goals for L0/1 and their breakdown

W.r.t to approach to take you can segment L1/0 into leading (the smaller goals that you track which lead up to main outcome) and lagging (the main outcome you want).

for eg. if you want to achieve certain page rank/keyword ranking and one aspect of your role is building backlinks:

Leading goal: Acquire N number of backlinks acquired in  Q3 (with DA &gt; 35)

one of the Lagging goals: Rank in top 5 for keyword ‘this keyword’

Process efficiency goal: Setup a scalable email outbound campaign with conversion rate of X%

This is a personal opinion. 

Number of years don't matter rather the knowledge &amp; willingness to learn does. Things change in SEO every day so the concept of being an “expert” is quite far from reality.
Personally interacted with people who have had 2-3x years of experience but fumbled when it came to the very basics. 

Please ask your friend to trust themselves more, and to learn at every chance they get. To keep going! Put out the results they have achieved because it's not a small feat. And, if an opportunity is putting them down to an extent of causing self doubts, it's simply not worth pursuing it! Good luck to them! :)

I'd recommend to add some slack apps - geekbot, donut etc.

If you select "Don't index", your page that has the ebook will not be crawled. Also nowadays, google is clever enough to recognise the gated contents and not Index them. The whole objective of gating is to hide the contents for free consumption. So I believe the content will not be crawled.

Simply make it "on index" or exclude the URL by robots.txt

Content inside the ebook won't be crawled by Google but the page on which you're redirecting to download the ebook can be. So, if you exclude the url by robots.txt, that page won't be crawled.
