Saw it couple weeks back, it deserves the Academy award it got. He (Alex) is an amazing person! In an interview after his summit he said "I saw a bear up close in the morning, it was the most interesting thing today". He climbed 3000fts without a rope on one of the most technical climbing route in the world.

I started an open-source development agency with a friend. The idea is to distribute FOSS development cost over multiple corporate customers and therefore, bring return-on-investment on FOSS. Already got one of the Indian unicorns as a customer. Unfortunately, my co-founder has not been able to dedicate a lot of time due to personal reasons, and is therefore moving on. https://polyglot.network/ Here's the pitch deck for customers: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1EplSLm2M7cg4VkZPxS0wukUaS2kvbK6522tIcMMRrBU/edit?usp=sharing I'm looking for a co-founder for this. Remote is okay. Part-time may be okay. This person will mostly have to work on the demand side: spread the word, reach out to tech CTOs and get them onboard. Polyglot has a developer community - available as short-term remote consultants. So the co-founder doesn't actually need to do any coding etc. All the work is on the demand side, not supply side. if you, or anyone you know, would be interested, please do connect.

they wanted some improvements in metabase (open-source BI tool) but could not justify doing it completely in-house, because it would have cost too much.

FOSS is a public good. It's economically irrational to contribute to it individually as a for-profit entity.

As CTO myself, i ran into the same gotcha multiple times, and that's why ended up starting this.

there's only an initial barrier to cross in terms of scale. Once we've around 10 corp customers, it should be a smooth sailing afterwards.
