Figured out something cool today - If you have kindle ebooks you can ask alexa to read them out for you, essentially turning them into audiobooks. Don't even need an Echo device as it works with Alexa app on phone

I wish to start reading books from Hindi Literature, untranslated. Though Hindi is my mother-tongue and I have learnt Hindi as a subject in school, I have always felt reading novels in Hindi an extremely difficult task. Can you please suggest me books in Hindi where I can start from?

Question related to reading fiction: How do you read and follow the story in fiction books that involve highly technical details of the world the book is set in? For eg, technical stuff in The Martian, and detailed descriptions of submarines, navy, US Defence etc in The Hunt for Red October?

I always wonder why companies want to grow big so fast. I saw many small-scale businesses that have been running profitably for a decade. Why they did not think about growing so fast. I found most of those answers in this book called “Small Giants”. http://burhanrashid52.com/2021/05/21/small-giants/

I briefly started reading "Seneca : Letters from a Stoic" (the internet archive version). It is good, but to me a bit long-winded. Are there any other books on similar topics that you would recommend?

I have a dilemma on book-reading on which I seek wider views. Some books take longer to drench you in. You have to keep going at it for 100-150 pages without getting hooked. But at the end, there's an obvious reward. I appreciate the fact that book-reading is very subjective. You may hate a book that the entire world has loved. And that's okay. But you have been told, you have read in the reviews, that it's a gem! What's your thought process when you are trying to read such a book? What's the breaking point at which you say to yourself, 'That's it. I am not reading any further. Let's move on to next one. There are so many books to read, why waste time on this one?' [I am putting up this question for reading a full-length book, and not audibles or abridgements.]

Hi folks, I built a digital bookshelf from my books and highlights on my Kindle. The plan is to also write book summaries in the future. For now, it's the collection of highlights I took on Kindle while reading the books. Feedback welcome 😁 https://aravindballa.com/bookshelf/

I love memoirs. You're literally in their minds, learning how they feel, think and react at pivotal moments that made them who they are. These are my Top 3️⃣ 1. Can't Hurt Me - You learn about how he was able to push through and do these and the mindset he uses. This guy is one hard motherfcuker “You are in danger of living a life so comfortable and soft, that you will die without ever realizing your true potential.” 2. Revolution in the Valley - Andy Hertzfeld tells the awesome story of how the groundbreaking Macintosh computer was born. Jobs is there too but this is about the people who worked behind the scenes to make it happen. If you love startups, do read. 3. Shoe Dog - Phil Knight shares his incredible journey of how he started Nike. from a poor college kid who loves to run and the ups and downs he faced to build Nike as it is now. do you guys have any other suggestions?

Thanks, @gray-bird-14941, for the excellent short notes of "*The Embedded Entrepreneur*" I created few designs using the notes curated by Aravind. I shared it with my friends who are in following the path of "Indie hackers". If you want more graphics of such kind, please let me know. I'll be happy to share it with you guys. I used my own tool "Photoatm.com" to build these.
