Hello folks. I'm poking around with the

Sensitive

parameter type. Only thing is I can't figure out how to test it in rspec. And trying something like

is borking with

undefined method 'Sensitive'

. Any pointers?

@Gerard Lynch to address your remark in the comment, hiera needs to be told to convert certain values to Sensitive, otherwise it will produce Strings. See chapter “Securing sensitive data in the catalog with lookup_options” in https://puppet.com/docs/puppet/6/securing-sensitive-data.html

there really isn’t one, and we’re not really supposed to talk about the test.

Are you looking for help with preparing for the cert or for info on signing up for the cert?

I took a class at PuppetConf a few years ago that had been arranged by my employer. If I'd properly taken advantage of it, it came with a free cert test. I'm a bit out of date, though. I'd like to do cert prep and then make an attempt at Practitioner.

The top thing I found for going for the certification was the reading nook https://training.puppet.com/pages/24/reading-nook

Is it just me, or is there no actionable info on puppet.com about signing up for the cert? There's a blurb on https://www.puppet.com/support/training about it, but no links or anything.

learn.puppet.com takes you to training.puppet.com but then I have to sign in

I noticed that in the past and guessed that the PCP 2019 certification was taken down because Puppet updates it for the new PE LTS

I'll check with the training team and see what status is, I can find no way to book so I presume its currently not there
