The second one is not cookie. It is the chat-widget.

Thanks @Deniz Gül but the chat-widget folder has indeed 2 cookies, look at the right panel, one is for posthog and the other named GA maybe Google Analytics?

the only thing being tracked is how often the widget is opened/closed

so you are tracking how often our clients open/close the widget, using cookies

well, posthog is using cookies, yes -- i'm not sure that their cookie is necessary in our case, i'll take a look to see if we can get rid of it

well that goes against one of the core principles in “Why use Papercups”, you were supposed to care for privacy and be cookie free. That’s the main reason we moved to Papercups. I understand that you want to use analytics but you should have warned us before installing Posthog, and no cookies should be used at all (or, you should remove that principle from your pricing page).

Thanks, but I don’t feel safe anymore regarding GDPR using your service. You’re hosted in Europe, you should be aware of this kind of things. If you want to integrate a third party service you need to let your users know, and update https://papercups-eu.io/data-policy
