i'm gonna play w/ hugo on The Missing Stylesheet and see what's up
  • g
    Oh, I see. It's a hugo thing 🙂
  • g

no, we get warnings on htmx and hyperscript because we use eleventy to build the site, and, like many javascript projects, it has a million dependencies so we are constantly getting Dependabot warn LIBERTY LIBERTY LIBERTY
  • g
Every morning I wake up, look in the mirror, and repeat: "I shall keep my feelings about node to myself... I shall keep my feelings about node to myself."
  • m
we'll start w/ the missing style sheet site
  • g
i have a secret folder on my laptop where i started trying to rewrite my blog in a deno-based ssg
  • m
    NOT SO SECRET NOW
  • m
i want to learn go anyway
  • m
it will likely be the basis for our manual testing server for htmx

Was going to add... Github actions and CodeQL are awesome. I ditched TravisCI when it went closed source, and now I use Github actions to runs static checks and test suites on all my Go stuff. I haven't tried to make it test Javascript (yet) but I'd bet it can.

Oh, that is beautiful. And the author implemented it for VS Code, too. I may need to try this.

my vote goes for this. Just pick a style, set up the config on the repo and make it mandatory as a pre-commit hook (can then be enforced as a check on the CI pipeline for PRs), and cut the bikeshedding.
  • a
and of course the style is 4 spaces 🐍

I was fooling around with the demo.htmx.org goodness over on glitch.io here: https://glitch.com/edit/#!/htmx-playground

I thought i'd fiddle a bit and add a decrement, but i'm noticing a bug: when you switch focus from the increment button to the decrement (or vice versa), the former button's event appears to fire one more time. so, the first time you click "count down" after a few "count ups" it counts up one more time.
  • j
What did I miss in how i added that button?
  • m
good ol' post-eval ++ increment strikes again: https://jsfiddle.net/wavLfn03/1/
  • m
x++ gives you the value of x, then increments
  • m
    (or decrements)
  • m
    thank u c very cool
  • m
BUT, how cool is it that I could just baste your example into old timey jsfiddle and the whole thing still worked!
  • h
Hey any issues with the boosted header? if not I'll polish tmr
  • m
haven't looked but I endorse the idea
  • h
cool then I can always change it
  • h
just don't want to put time into a bad idea
  • u
Can I get a hx-delete request to not bother swapping, and instead just do whatever redirect the server sends?
  • m
how are you sending the redirect?
