HX-Push-URL response header isn't documented it looks like - want me to open an issue?
  • h
That acts like hx-push-url attribute right?
  • h
    oh it's HX-Push
  • h
    I'm just blind

I'm modeling my routes as classes (using Flask's MethodView), so I just added a
    standalone
property that checks that header to a base class that all the other routes inherit. Good to hear I'm on the right track.
  • h
so a user goes from account/welcome -> logs in through htmx, login 302's to ~redirect and right now I have ~redirect adding HX-Redirect to the value of the next querystring
  • h
I'm confused w/ what you're suggesting how I get the actual destination content
  • h
I get pushing the url and then using HX-Retarget to make it act like a boosted link
  • h
I could make a client side event that looks for a header HX-BoostRedirect and hits that value and swaps into body
  • h
and just make a custom header

    Hey I have a question...
  • u
I haven't read the docs intensively nor tried anything.
  • u
Could a request do more than one action? Or for each place to update I have to re-request?
  • h
You can update multiple places with OOB
  • h
  • u
    Consider it solved. Thank you!

Hello. Noob question: is autocomplete available for htmx in VS Code?
  • g
Not yet, but I believe someone has a project started for that.
  • w
    thanks!
  • a
Like processNode(), this feels like a great FAQ entry
  • m
    making progress!

hello every one, getting started with htmx (+ quarkus and qute for templating and stuff) need some help to know how do you send a json object in a post request ? thnx a lot
  • e
Why do you want to send json instead of sending form?
  • m
  • o
i actually want to insert an object in a db my backend server receives json objects and then converts them into java objects to insert etc...
  • o
    thanks Imma try it
  • m
i like just using standard HTML and then converting to JSON on the back end, but ymmv, htmx will do whatever
  • o
how would you just send the form ?
  • m
just normal form encoding, then using whatever your backend is, convert that to a JSON object
  • m
(depends a lot on how your back end works though)
