Haxeui being declared 1.x is a big deal, so hopefully it at least makes a roundup

Apparently soon it will be, like next week it will be in a 1.0.0 release "stable" probably. It's already been used by a lot of people successfully so it's worth some time getting familiar. It's just not as documented as it would benefit from

In Ian's defense, he's usually around, here, in the Discord or on the issue tracker, if you get stuck.

+1 for "everything in Haxeland seems to need better docs", though.

Also, I use haxeui in a product I'm releasing soon. What will soon become the new master is stable. And, yes, Ian is Way on top of user issues and questions.

howdy all, wasnt around the last few days... @User - desktop / web are pretty well covered.... haxeui-android (native android) needs a little love for sure, but its functional for the most part

unless you meant targeting mobile with a composite backend (openfl, nme, etc)

oh nice! what backend are you using for that?

    haxeui-hxwidgets (wxWidgets)

all other backends work just fine though... its a haxeui-core feature, not specific to any backend

@bitter-family-72722 you mentioned that haxeui not showing up could be completion server related, but why would that happen?

It's pretty annoying having to restart VSC or compiling -clean to get the UI back

    whats the issue?
  • b

haxeui breaking something? Or purely a VSC issue?
  • b

@brave-kangaroo-30399 there's sometimes bugs where subsequent compilations through the compilation server lead to different results

you could make an AST dump for the working and non-working version and make a diff between them, to see what (if anything) changes

Not sure where the issue is Ian, but like 20% of my compiles lead to an invisible UI
