    haxelib update
    and a 
    git pull
    on their folders to double check it's up to date

    haxelib list
    what do you get? (for haxeui-hxwidgets specifically)

    -> this made it look like no version was selected at all

    so I went to check the folder

    the 
    .current
    file was alright
  • n
    but there was a 
    .dev
    file that pointed to 
    lib/hxWidgets
    for whatever reason

    ok, cool... so some kind of haxelib issue

    deleting it made the compiler go through normally!

    DDG gave me no results for this error. Any ideas, friends?

    Since I'm not using any networking (this is just the default project), I tried adding 
    --dce full
    but got the same error.

    haxeui can load images via http/s so i guess that is where that comes from

    no idea why hxcpp is actually failing to compile though

    might be related to my build environment. This machine is running Windows. Opening the x86 Native Tools Command Prompt for VS 2019 gives a different error

    hmmm, not sure what to suggest, different version of haxe? vs studio? tomorrow i can #if def the http stuff, see if that helps (been meaning to do that anyway to be honesT)
