    yeah, i feel you... i kinda think for very complex hierarchical UIs flixel has some limitations (and just plain old issues / bugs /oddities)

    i guess, thankfully, if you arent using that much flixel then haxeui can help evaluate different frameworks via the backend system

    I'm glad that if I do change to openfl, I'm reusing 100% of my haxeui implementation and layouts

    yeah, you might even want to think of way (maybe) to abstract out the flixish bits and then you could evaluate all the backends... might be more effort than its worth though

    Good evening, how are you guys doing? I'm trying to compile a sample HaxeUI project using the wxWidgets backend. The Flixel backend works "fine" (though Neko throws an error), but trying to use the 
    hxwidgets.hxml
    gives me the following error: 
    Error: Error: Library lime version 2.9.1 is not installed
    I do have lime installed (version 7.9.0). I'm not sure if this error means I need that specific version, or if using the 
    .hxml
    file made it not detect lime for some reason (I used 
    lime test hl
    to test with hashlink). Any ideas?

    You shouldnt need lime with haxeui-hxwidgets

    however, you have to use hxcpp, it wont work with hl, neko, etc... it use wxWidgets under the hood which is a cpp lib and the externs for it are hxcpp only

    also, you have include "haxeui" in your hxml (-lib haxeui) this is haxeui v1, which is old, not supported and is an openfl only library, so i guess that is where you error is coming from

    because I was getting a different error before, sec

    This is in a brand new project created using the commands from the second link.

    hmmm, can you try git version of haxeui-core and haxeui-hxwidgets
