well, its not perfect, and there are certainly issues... but virtual tableview coming along (100,000 items, custom item renderers):

yeah, its not on by default, as, personally, i dont like it "that" much... i mean, its works fine, but for desktop its not a great UX

on desktop I usually use scrollbars, page up/down or scrollwheel, never drag&drop

yeah, to be honest, drag to scroll on desktop is nice... so much so that i often find myself trying to do it non haxeui apps - but not with inertia

well I guess one could get used to drag scrolling, if it became a standard everywhere... with scrollbars getting smaller and smaller, it's also much easier to start dragging anywhere inside your content... but as soon as you want something like drag&drop sorting, it gets compilcated

yeah, true enough... you can turn off drag scrolling on haxeui also, and only use scrollbars, its just not the default because... ... ... well, i like drag scroll 😄

Home again. Festival's over. Infection is mostly cleared out, just finishing out the course of antibiotics. That test case is on my todo list this week.

    Is
    haxeui-kha
currently working? It's not passing CI and last update was September last year.

Have you tried new-component-method branch? It should be working fine, though it's been a couple months since I tried.

it should be working... the backends dont really change that much anymore (thankfully)... ill give it a whirl in a while, but last time i played with it, it seemed fine

and yeah, CI fails because of the different branches, there is probably a way round it, but also, hopefully new-comp becomes master things will get better

Probably the anxiety talking (medication or painkillers, and I took the painkillers)... I'm in no condition. Compiler errors are making me fall apart and start bawling. Um. I'll be in touch when I'm back on my meds and all. Sorry.

Hung up my moderation duties in two places "until further notice" and I'm debating handing keys off for a temp admin two other places I manage. I am not well.

which framework should I use for a simple data modification app with HaxeUI ?
  • b

it depends really, although, and i dont know the project obviously, it shouldnt matter...
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    06/05/2019, 12:36 PM
i mean, you can use any backend, and you shouldnt need to change the haxeui parts... obviously, if you are using, say, openfl features directly then you cant then switch later to, say, pure html5
