    yeah, I was referring to the logo - I know the voting for patreons was tongue-in-cheek and I'm only a low tier backer, but I thought I throw in my little voting power anyway

    I don't think people will hear about haxe-ui on patreon first, so it doesn't really matter that the logo is clipped because patreon decided to have round logos.

    It seems absurd to make money and not pass some of it back upstream. How much is a whole 'nother debate. Seems like there's a breakeven point between "donate" and "pay for support services", after all XD

    Voreaphile text game "Consume" (NSFW) got abandoned because the codebase was basically one huge class that was written poorly.

    I've been slowly rearchitecting it and porting it to HaxeFlixel as the ui lib.

    Could have used anything. Flixel was because it was familiar.

    The engine and UI are divorced. At this point, it's only tied to the source language.

    Actually as far as having extracted about half the game's strings from the old codebase (yes, even the strings were in that class file, OMG) and being able to move around, basic inventory. Working on character stats now.

    In the more general sense, it's a text adventure game [edit: with a combat system, "but we swear it's not a MUD"].

    I'm hoping to recycle the engine and do another game with it once I've caught up with the original dev.

    In two broken forms. There's a build of the original code in the original dev's FA gallery... and ongoing previews of the codebase I'm working on at milestones in my own gallery.
