People, don't forget that new studies tend to show what I've been saying for ages : we can only really work for up to 5/6 hours a day. The 8 hours working day is a fucking lie that keeps killing us and our ability to be productive.

It depends on the work. If it's not mentally taxing, and more of a monkey coding, I used to be able to do 10 hours regularly.

Monkey work is fine every now and then but if you do it every day as extra work hours then it still gets debilitating

Lately I'm doing just 6-7 hours, and not very productive ones.

Trying to up the productivity and keep/lower the hours. Much more satisfying.

But some days, when it's more about design and abstractions, I quit after 6 hours and all I did all day was think and make a few notes.
