    at least the terminal can be fullscreen since recent updates, that's really nice

    since you mentioned IntelliJ being your ideal IDE, VSCode's layout actually still seems more flexible to me than there

    maybe it's just about the configuration being a bit awkward though, you can't just drag / dock things with the mouse I think

    no, vscode still has nice drag support for splitting editors

    splitting editors is really awkward in intellij as well

    but yeah, ive usally got a load of stuff open and i hate that grouping stuff windows does, by default i think

    same, but with the taskbar on the left it's a lot more space-efficient

    you basically just get the icons, not the long text
