even the dependancies in its own tree would be fine, if i could move that to the right and have a big tree

Is there anything for actually showing dependencies properly?

Cos I could use that. 😄

but i have to choose between a fileview and dependencies... seems like a trivial gripe, but im switching between a test project and the actual lib all the time

if the deps was on the right, to be honest, most of my woes are gone... i would prefer it in the fileview tree, and an outline on the right, but meh, id settle for it on the right

as far as im aware, its not a thing

so instead, i have something like this:

which, to me is verrrrry unproductive

Hmm, maybe there is a setting to decouple those windows, not sure.

You can switch the panel side for sure.

Dependencies like that aren't of much use for me.

Ideally I would want to see a full ordered graph on a second monitor, highlighting the currently active class, dependents and dependencies. 😄

yeah, i get it, but im usually working on dependancies

... this is much cleaner for me:

Seems like it's on the roadmap for this year: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/wiki/Roadmap#workbench

I hate not being able to move the outline to the right in vscode too

I basically don't use it at all because of that, when I used to use it a lot in FD

it's not really about that, it's just not useful to have the outline view crammed into that same little space as the explorer
  • b

    bitter-family-72722

    01/31/2020, 7:48 PM
there's not enough vertical space for that
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    01/31/2020, 7:48 PM
    ^^ yeah, exactly
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

i have waaaaay more horizontal real estate than i do vertical
  • b

so to have 4 lists, withouth the ability to move them is crazy

outline and deps would happily live on the other side of my screen, then, all is "ok"
