i havent no, though it sounds useful - issue would be the native targets... what backend? I think the composite ones seem pretty "easy"

... ... ... should probably finally get around to writing that damned treeview first... arguably more useful 🙂

treeviews are basically the only UI available in the VSCode extension API 😄

and yet, in vscode, the one thing that stops me fully getting on board is the type / location of the treeviews

(and when it comes to haxe, dependencies as part of the file tree, which is where i spend most of my time)

I've never really used those class overview thingies. Usually fullscreen code with some occasional file view, but mostly I just navigate to everything directly. 🤔

i use, "double shift" in intellij all the time, i dunno what it would be in vscode terms "just to symbol" maybe

I mostly navigate to files via Ctrl+P.

Only using the T variant if I forgot where something is, but remember how it's called.

yeah, nice, Ctrl-p is a good one... as ive suspected, its often a lack of exp with vscode rather than it being "bad"

i dont like the idea of having, say, 5 files open at the same time either... im usally working on many many more, so that is a type of micro management i simply couldnt be bothered with

(by open at the same time i mean, in your SS, ie, editing 5 files at the same time)

I usually have 2 opened, just cos they fit. But mostly work in 1.

it's just your age. Seriously tho, spent the day doing key mappings in vscode, haven't done that since I was in vim ten years ago

All I'm waiting for is VR with good enough resolution so that I can work in a white room. 😄

if i had a treeview with dependencies in the tree then i would likely switch in a moment
