well, you can end up with both and it doesnt work out well till you delete the other

that's what I mean, it's intended that you end up with both

otherwise it wouldn't remember what the version was before running
    haxelib dev

well, it works as designed (the dev feature at least).. the design is not necessarily great though 🙂
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:42 PM
    sure

I don't really care so much about the source as a user

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:44 PM

  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

it died, i dunno why, how, or when
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:45 PM

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:46 PM
i presume you have seen the haxelib client code?
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:46 PM
    its... ... ... strange
  • b

    bitter-family-72722

    09/16/2019, 9:46 PM
I wonder if you'd say the same about lix sources 😄
  • b

btw, there's no fundamental difference between
    haxelib dev
    and
    haxelib git
, the latter just does the clone for you
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:47 PM
i might say the same about tink, or c.ui
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:47 PM
    there is though,
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    one is running a process
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:48 PM
you are assuming that process is "fine"
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:48 PM
haxelib git defo failed, a number of times
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:49 PM
then i edit the .dev file (or created it, i dont remember)
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:49 PM
spin it up and its all fine
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:50 PM

  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:52 PM
