yeah, so if you arent using % then its gravy

if you are then it will calculate a new % based on the size

so your 80% very well may become 60% once you resize

    which makes total sense

the layout engine already did this to be fair

anyway, it will work its way into core at some point... i havent touched the layout engine as part of this

then you should definitely push it to version 1.1.0...

    version 1.0.0 sounds better

yeah but new components and changes to layout engine sound like it might spawn new issues before 1.0.0 materialises...

true, but there are no changes to the layout engine (not for ages)

    i guess i just need a 1.0.0

there is literally nothing stopping it

    few niggly issues

well... if sliders were broken in 1.0.0, then that's not a showstopper (unless one needs sliders)...
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:01 PM
    sliders are broken?
  • l

    loud-salesclerk-7438

    09/16/2019, 9:01 PM
    no, if they were
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:01 PM
    are they?
  • l

    loud-salesclerk-7438

    09/16/2019, 9:01 PM
    not that I am aware
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:02 PM
    right
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:02 PM
    so im lost

"if sliders were broken you shouldnt release, but they arent"
  • l

    loud-salesclerk-7438

    09/16/2019, 9:02 PM
    I was just speaking hypothetically
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:03 PM
right, ie, if it was something "huge"
  • l

    loud-salesclerk-7438

    09/16/2019, 9:05 PM
yeah if Component base was broken, that would be a blocker for a 1.0.0 release, but if it was a component that was added last minute, then that should not stop a release
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:05 PM
    fair point, and agreed

    the system works fine
  • b

    bright-gpu-74537

    09/16/2019, 9:06 PM
    maybe time to release it
  • b

(though i think anyone who uses haxeui doesnt care about haxelib)
  • l

    loud-salesclerk-7438

    09/16/2019, 9:09 PM
well for a long time there was only haxeui legacy that required very specific versions of openfl (3.6.1?) and lime (2.9.x) and haxeui2 was only available through github, so people got used to using git versions. If there is fresh haxelib releases people will probably use those.

yeah, i wish i could remove "haxeui" from haxelib
