I'm very much not an expert, but to me it sounds like it comes down to how much you expect to need healthcare. With the second option, you're saving 233 a month, but it comes with a risk of muuch higher expenses if you end up hitting the deductible/OOP
With the first option, its 11000 before insurance starts to cover, with the second (unless I'm misunderstanding), its 21600.
Although one clarifying question is, for the first option, if all the medical costs are incurred by one person, do you need to hit the individual deductible before coverage, or the family one? (I know with some CDHP plans, if you have family coverage you need to hit the family deductible. If that's the case in this plan, than it would depend on if you expect there to be medical expenses mostly incurred by one person)
