Hi everyone, I would like to get some CAD invested. I'm new to investments. Some will be TFSA and FHSA. - Any other accounts that will be tax beneficial? I don't have any income at the moment, so from my understanding I can't put in the RSP. - What account should I open to put all the remaining? it's currently all in CAD. - Where is it more recommended to invest? US or Canada considering exchange rates and market value? - And What stocks are worth it to get? Thank you!

If I maxed out the Roth IRA, which account should I open in M1 to put more in?

I see M1 is being constantly promoted. Based on the rate and features I'm thinking of opening an account with them. I'm trying to collect some data on the percentage of gross household income that mortgage payments are in the frum world. Will start this myself and please post in the thread using the following format "% - Location - Year Purchased - Any notes you feel are helpful to know". When we fill our w4s do we list our children as dependants on each of ours or just on one of ours?

My father wants to lower our monthly expenses by giving a lump sum towards our mortgage. Problem is that AFAIK this will not lower our monthly payments. Is my understanding correct, or is there a way to accomplish this?

Daf yomi has started horayas and I'd like to take the moment, given how achievably small the mesechta is, and the fact that it is falling out in elul, to encourage anyone shiyach to it, to join daf yomi!

From a personal finance perspective, is there any benefit to learning how to file my own taxes, as opposed to just dumping the whole lot on my accountant?

Anyone good at coming up with impactful KPIs to track and coming up with ways to track them? We are doing some incredible work with frum finance that I really want to help get people excited about, but the KPIs we are tracking are not doing a good job at showing our life changing impact.
