Hi All. Quick question about tracking clicks from an email to conversion. We have a requirement to track click throughs of an email (sent from our CF based platform) to an action (e.g. registering for an event or making a donation). We have a basic tracker of email opens and link clicks (ie did someone click the link in the email). But, we now need to track them further than the initial email link click to know if they then registered for the event that the link was advertising. We're thinking through how that might be done (cookies? client variables? session variables?). Anyone do that before? I guess the key question is what is the best way to determine whether the action was taken (e.g. registration) several page views after the initial link click in the email. Anyone do this before?

One of my coworkers found a place that serves bacon maple donut bars.. It's a full strip of thick-cut bacon piled high on top of a large maple bar. I was a skeptic as it's a weird combo until you have it.. Then it keeps you up at night thinking about it. Seriously good stuff.

my bacon tip of the day: lay bacon on a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper)., spread a thin layer of your favorite jelly (I like cherry best), and then a nice sprinkling of black pepper. put in a cold oven, set temp to like 375 and cook until desired crispiness.

^^^ texas edition: instead of jelly, maple syrup and siracha. Bake at 400 for 15-20 mins

Are there any apache server wizards in here? I'm looking for a way to limit bots/scrapers from intermittently hammering our sites, and see a lot of talk about using mod_limitipconn and mod_evasive, amongst other things, but neither of those apache modules look to have been updated for many years, and a lot of the guides/tutorials are dated as well. Is everyone using things like Cloudflare and hardware routers to handle rate limiting now?
