Add a red might card to your attack that you activate this on.

Are story checks (e.g. Threading) always done with white cards/decks, or can you use your might for these checks?

Checks are only done with white cards. Might check does allow use of empower token though.

For multi-target attacks (Target 3 in range 3), can this be three dice locations on the boss?

Are mobs hit by boss AOE abilities (e.g. giant rats hit by tail whip).

They are I believe unless it says otherwise

An attack can only target multiple locations on a boss if the ability specifically says it does that. In general, abilities count each creature as one target.

Generally, no. The attacks typically specify if it will attack enemies or all characters. Only in the situations where it states something like all characters are hit by the AoE would the minions also be valid targets. If it states something like "all enemies within..." then that just implies the Oathsworn/Allies

Can you kill a large enemy by dmging it's core while it still has a flank exposed?
  • m

    09/19/2022, 1:09 AM
Or would the damage go to the flank before the core(even if the core is closer to the attack point)

Your attack damages the closest location by default. If multiple are the closest, you choose (after seeing your damage total). You must destroy all locations to kill them.

Thanks it feels odd that a character ai will kill itself with fire but “plan” for a puddle, but I couldn’t find support for it in the rules. Oh well 🤷🏽‍♂️

Well, it isn't that it plans for a puddle, it would still walk through it...but if it can't reach a target by doing so then it'll go a different way

I don’t know. It will redirect an attack to move somewhere different if water means it will come up short, but will face tank a firewall to get to its target via the rule of North then West. It just doesn’t seem “right”.

But aren't distances measures without calculating some slows in. Otherwise what would prevent a enemy from moving around a water tile if it could reach the target. I mean, it wouldn't probably think " there's water in my way, so let's walk another path or attack another target" It seems odd to not charge that distance but rather die trying.

When it says "Friendly Character" within 3 or so.... does it include the character using the ability? This is Abilities like Avians "When someone is about to suffer a wound allow someone else from 3 take it instead." So in otherwords, can Avi take it the wound himself, or "Friendly Character" is always someone else than themselves.

Avi can? I was dreading that "Friendly Character" is worded so that it excludes the character himself in "One Soul". This is because in other of his cards it says "Yourself or friendly character" in Prophetic Fullfilment card

Im adding it to the errata right now but yes friendly character includes yourself

Just to clarify. This goes to other characters too, so in any character card where it says "Friendly character" it means yourself too?
