If an enemy would fail to reach its target due to water tiles does it redirect to one it could reach?

Yup, it would pick a character it could reach if possible

i played ,esterday with a friend and he absolute try to bend rules. the word "before" is for me just when an enemy try to target but he insist also in oathsworn phase when he does actions it is before an enemy attack, it is always the moment before an enemy attack. he dont benefit from protection, since the attack comes next phase, but it cost 0 animus he can battleflow and gain a fatality token. also includes friendly also himself?

The hand means an interrupt. If he uses it in his own phase, what is he then interrupting? Friendly does include himself.

another question: when mobs are on their turn, first all select target and move

i got my penitent attacked by 4 and our cur by 2, first the cur get attacked so i choose to protect him with an interuption "move 2 and give him my defence value" after that the other rats couldnt attack me anymore couse of the movement. i think i didnt do anything wrong. sure we could attack penitent first but when you use NW rule the cur was first target

with that interuption he moved 2 spaces to cur, the rats couldnt attack since they where not in range

Grove Maiden Sentinels cannot add white cards to attack, but can you boost base might with empowered x3, eg. 4 sentinels attack with base red die, if I use empowered, can I pull 3 blacks and one red?

Reroll which we have on free company sheet. Lats say 2 of them on survival. Whole team needs to do survival check do we all get 2 Reroll?

One other Q - when exactly can you swap cards out? While setting up an encounter or not once you see what it is?

Items cards are equipped during story. Ability cards are selected after you reveal the enemy board, but before you see the special board, unless you have the special board marked on your company sheet.

Spoiler for lvl 4 item ||whip: before drawing dmg for your first attack of the round, add 1 red might. -- does that mean I reveal a red might card before choosing what to draw, or do I just add the red might and not reveal it until I reveal the might cards for the attack?||
