I'd post that on BBG and see if SBG will answer

Anyone find the rules for swapping in a new Oathsworn a bit of a way to game the losses system? You might have run out of items and would otherwise have to Petition the Ravenspire to refresh. If you just swap out a character the new guy comes in with a full inventory of chapter current items. Is there something I'm getting wrong here?

Comes in with previous chapter items I thought. Still helps game the system a bit, but that’s down to player choice. Also injuries carry over iirc so doesn’t help with that.

    Alternatively, try BGG.

SBG confirmed on BGG that it can crit

Just putting this here so it's on hand. No mention of losing injuries or taking previous chapters items. Although I do agree that's a good houserule to make it a less appealing option

Maybe not transferring injuries tho, doesn't match the narrative joy of the Oathsworn system so far

Random question - when you use an ability card to force a redraw of a might card I'm assuming you can tank the critical before it triggers to draw another card right?

I might be wrong but i was under the impression that enemies never crit

Good, so just the beefiest cards go bye bye. Thanks!

Is this an old rule book? It seems slightly different to the hard copy that I have

So it's keep the injuries and take items below the current levels

Awesome, thank you! Been relying on the digital one rather than opening the book itself. Wonder what else I'm missing!

How does LoS work when behind the large monster? Does it go for what's in front, similar to a blind spot mechanic?

Does this mean all iron that characters do not own, or does all iron get archived and we record our iron on a character sheet

Do you mean Oathsworn Los or boss?

If target is closest Oathsworn I am guessing it would turn around and go for you

Los gets measured from the front hex of the monster. If there is los it will turn around

thanks guys. I didn't see anything saying it wouldn't just turn around & whack me so I went with the monster doing that.

If we're chaining an attack and it hits the large monster twice as part of the chain but the first hit breaks the location so we finish the attack and handle the location break before dealing with the next target on the chain or do you resolve all the chain attacks and then deal with the location break?

I think the break reaction triggers as soon as the location is broken

I was torn really. Because it was a chain attack that meant the rat mother was going to move, which meant the next attack in the chain would get an enemy it wouldn't normally hit? The whole thing is weird.

I think you apply the results of the chain attack to all targets "simultaneously", then resolve any reactions. The rules for breaking a location say that "When a reaction happens, any additional effects on your Ability Card or items that would affect your target are lost (including extra attacks, knockback and bleed effects). However, any effects that would target a friendly character still take place before the reaction card is resolved." Which I think doesn't interrupt your chain attack although it sounds like it makes the monster immune to the second half of your chain attack.

Also, the chain attack rules say you can't hit the same target twice, although IIRC the Witch had a card which overrode that.
