    Pretty sure you stop right in front of the obstacle and lose 1 hp

    If they're pushed in the direction of an obstacle (because the creature landed on them after a move), they'll "bounce" off it. Maybe that's the situation that sounded similar to knockback.

    If the exile uses line breaker and charges through 4, going through a large enemy, how is damage calculated? Is it just one attack or do I add all the hexes the exile went through as additional damage like a AOE on large enemy rule?

    Charge through attacks are not AoE attacks, oddly enough. They only hit each creature once.

    I think that the damage goes to the location closest to the attacker’s final position, but I might need to double check.

    The rule about minions breaking a boss location not triggering a reaction, when could that actually happen? I’ve only fought broodmother, so maybe there’s more mechanics I havnt seen. The only potential that came up was a hero knocking back a rat into her, which broke a location. I assumed that didn’t trigger a reaction, although that’s an open question. Did the rat do it, or the hero who knocked it back?

    Which rule are you referring to? Have a specific page you can point me to for reference?

    I believe it's poorly worded. It means killing a minion does not trigger a reaction.

    In the examples you gave, all of these situations still cause a reaction. Breaking any HP dice causes a reaction.

    This passage refers to the killing of minions do not trigger reactions

    Bruh, if you're just gonna repeat what I said at least say it in a different language. Like Franch, or Detusch. ;}

    If you fail an encounter and choose to replay it, do you lose gear and take injuries before the re-attempt?
  • k

    Kaaihn

    11/12/2022, 6:32 PM
    Looks like no, the penalty for failure is the knockout marks. Injury and gear loss are only determined based on the final attempt you make as far as I can tell, just want to make sure I’m understanding it correctly

    No, u only mark the ko tracker for the first failed attempt.

    Thanks. What do you do about hit points? If you started low because you lost some in the story, do you need to remember what your encounter starting hp was and reset to that? Or do you start back at full hp?

    I think the rule book says you set it to max depending on difficulty
