If you replay the Encounter its only KOs from that attempt that determine item loss and injury. You don't add more tallies to the KO track though, the max for each Encounter is 4 (or 84 for the whole campaign)

Aren't there more rules which make ticks on the KO board? Or is this just in Hardcore where u put for HP 1 and 2 also ticks on it?

I think on easier difficulties you might add more as well, let me check.

Yeah deviating from normal difficulty also affects the number of ticks you add

Can companions / allies attack twice per round?

If they are adjacent for instance

Yup! As long as you have the animus or cards for it.

Remember that companions can only use each archetype ability once per round though. Rulebook recommends using might cube to track.

It's common now to place the animus directly onto the used ability. Less fiddlyness

Item card defense - does it mean armor or can character use shield even if he/she can't use it (ie. Witch,Avi)?

It's the base armor of the character playing guard, was my understanding

I's say both armour and a shield. It says item cards and instead of their own items on the card, so must mean more than just the armour value.

so if the warden has 7armor from shield+plate then the character targeted by guard would get 7 armor

then the character targeted can play their own cards for more defense

Hey guys, for the huntresses’ ||Amber satchel charge|| ability, ||how does it calculate damage against a large monster after detonating the satchel right next to it?||

The target would have the 7 defence instead of it's own and could play additional defence cards, tokens and or skills

    ||I’m fairly sure you count the number of monster hexes within the explosion, and then remove that much health from a location. It’s likely all damage dealt to one location because that’s the convention for most area of effects. Problem is, I’m not sure which location. It’s generally the location closest to the origin, which would be determined relative to where the Amber Satchel Charge was placed, although the Huntress’ falcon attacks deal damage to the location closest to her. I’d guess closest to the explosion, but I’m not sure. It might not matter too much, pick one and stick with it?||

I guess so, the problem is it wasn’t listed as an ||Area of Effect. ||

Does friendly character include the character playing the card?
  • c

    ChaosFarseer

    07/30/2022, 4:56 AM
Yeah, 'tis true. I think that, because it's more like "each character loses some amount of life" rather than "each location loses some amount of life", all the damage will be suffered to one location. That seems to be the convention for suffering damage or life loss. But that is admittedly my guess and not confirmed by SBG.

Do you lose an item if you became unconscious but the party still won?

You lose 2 if you're KOd you lose 1 at the end of every chapter if you're still conscious due to equipment degradation.
