No, they are not Allie’s, but they are ‘friendly characters’

If a large targets land on two fires does the 1 damage go to the closest hit dice locations or does the player get to choose which dice to damage or the same one twice?

In general is the encounter book the source of truth if there are discrepancies with the app?

pretty sure the encounter book only shows the quick action rewards

Doesn't it also show things like end of chapter rewards? Or is that what you're referring to?

The story book has end of chapter rewards that should match the app. The quick-action encounter set up has rewards that are different

So I think you're supposed to just use one or the other

The witch sticks to normal hand building rules correct? She just starts with more options to build from.

Correct. The recommends starting with all 3 of the abilities with stars and choosing either the fire or water set, for your first chapter. After that, you build the hand normally, and just have more options than other characters.

The witch and huntress will both end up with extra cards compared to the average character, but are still subject to the normal hand rules.

Is there a pinned FAQ somewhere? The only thing I found was a BBG thread.

The BGG thread is the official one. I think that's pinned enough. https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2894439/official-faq-oathswornitd/page/12

So we had our first injury the other day. I was looking through the rules and is Field Medic the only way to get rid of an injury (besides possibly events or the like)?

That's what I feared. The initial post lacks answers we've seen here to lots of questions. Like whether chain attacks are stopped by breaking a die.

So what is the point of the apothecary? Just reducing odds of pulling an injury? Useless for curing one?

true grit + a loaded injury deck really reduces the odds of an injury being doled out

I bought a couple not really knowing what they did. It told me to shuffle them into the injury deck and I was like "ooooh" bummer. And then the next check I failed which told me to go into the injury deck and remove a curative, lolol.

When playing hardcore, injuries go with the dead? No reassignment of the injuries like when switching characters? I'm interested in hardcore both for the challnge and as motivation to try out more characters.

If you break a die can you use an ability card like the Ranger's Child of the Forest to hide from the reaction?

Am I right to say that if you're asked to place a 7 hex template and part of it would be off the board, it doesn't get placed? Feel like I saw something to that effect on here previously but can't remember now and couldn't find it in the rule book

Somewhere on BGG I read it gets placed fully on the board as close as possible to where it would have been placed originally. Someone please correct me if I misread that, I also couldn’t find this in the rulebook.
