Really like the variation on the colours you've chosen, that's a great looking mini!

It's not easy to make that mini look good. Great job 👍 If anyone gives you any more grief about posting random minis here just tell them it's from secret box 13. 😀

Really impressive, the highlights really make it look like eerie colored lights are illuminating them.

With mine I try to think if how to portray danger. Hence red osl in some. Then, if red is a choice the tope color should be a complimentary color to add drama. Etc

Thing is I can’t absorb all if his knowledge and apply it. So I am working on specific things one at a time. I’ve only been painting 1.5 years.

Years are not important tho, but the time you invest! Anyhow, you are a good student, it shows!!

I've painted off and on for about 35 years. I'm still mediocre :). Granted, it's more about getting them on the table than producing quality. The times I've really taken a lot of time and done multiple layers of washes and highlights, they looked pretty good, but not as good as what @FacekicknInc showed. The resources back then were harder to find, I've learned a lot about simple ways to add a lot of depth in the last few years. So much knowledge out there and great videos.

Totally agree, the game has changed a ton in the past 5 years with the rise of painting content on youtube and all the patreons, different new paint types and techniques you can do.

Wow, the exile was the last hero I painted with his armoury, but, your skin looks sooooooo amazing! Seriously great job. I’m very jealous.

Thanks very much, I was feeling quite intimidated by the skin beforehand as I'd never tried painting such a large area of it before (only really faces before this) so I watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos and it definitely helped 😁 I think the shadows have turned out a bit too red but it's always a learning experience and I'm pretty chuffed with the outcome overall 😁

Morning all. Is there a way of removing the monsters from their bases, without messing them up? It would make the painting process so much easier. They all have these raised bits under the base, which must be connection points. Could they be drilled out??

I heard to put them in the freezer would destroy/crack the glue/lime, but I haven't tried myself
