wire wtaped around pins then stickytacknover all parts that should get no paint. then pined on styrofoam or cardboard. then i prime and paint them

Well, I’m not exactly finished. I’m not 100% satisfied with his shield yet. But now since we’ve had a few deaths, Ive finished 7 of the oathsworn as we get ready to play chapter 7 tomorrow.

Thanks. Yeah - just single color doesn’t feel right to me^^ So I try to stick to a more natural scheme but also don’t overdo it - don’t wanna spend more time on them than on the huntress.

I‘ll just place them besides whatever friends or foes they are on. If the space is needed I‘ll move them around a bit. For one I think that’s far more immersive, plus I won’t waste time and energy painting them an then have them sit on a board next to where the action happens.

Mine ended up very similar pattern by looking at real falcons and getting some ideas how to paint the pattern from what was posted here. Pictures here helped me a lot, as I wasn't sure how to do the finer details. Really like how you did yours, very realistic looking.

For me it is harder when you have to invent the lines and dots, but then you discover that once everything is done... eye is very forgiving on smaller mistakes or irregularities with lines.

Yeah, but yours looks really good. I think it is we are most unforgiving to mistakes we can see, while others do not really see them

…..and now my Oathsworn are done. I decided to go Autumn camouflage for the Huntress. I only have the Armory left and I’m honestly not sure if I’ll do it, my group is pretty meh on swapping the weapons out.
