    I thought I fixed that horrible gap across its face, but I have to redo it before painting, it showed up nice and clear after priming.

    That gap was really a bother

    Thanks! Yeah, I used milliput for that gap - had to redo it to after priming 🫔

    On chapter 4 and Finally finished the company! Fairly new painter and Oathsworn has made me want to try and learn more. Anyone with reservations with painting - just go for it.

    The size of the mini’s makes it very new painter friendly. The push fit let’s you move stuff and get to otherwise hard to reach spots. Even just removing the base is a win for painting.

    Encounter 9 paintjob finished. I added a little thematic extra to it just like a previous paintjob. As I mentioned I almost ruined it when adding the oil wash (wrong solvent used, dissolved acrylics too), but managed to save it by using a lot of matt varnish on the back. It looked better before, but at least I did not have to start from scratch šŸ˜„

    How are people handling the armory for painting? Are you guys painting all of it in one shot? Never painted something like this before. Do you paint the base model then attach and paint all the arms separately? Thanks!!!

    I primed it. Then I looked at it. Then I put it back in the box.

    I paint the character and the full armory all together. I took the arms off and painted them with the armory so they all had the same color and transition into the body

    Only a few of my players care about it. I'm running 3 campaigns and out of the 10 players, 4 use it a bunch

    Not sure what 'fairly new' means in terms of time though these look fantastic! Great job!

    Right? Looks like they've been painting much longer than me. Though, the "Winter Wonderland" bases are a bold choice. ;}

    I started when Oathsworn arrived, with the terrain first then nervously on the bosses copying other people’s schemes. Then started on other games minis to practice a bit more that I was less precious about. Contrasts have been brilliant for me along with some YouTube tips videos.

    I do the model with basic loadout first, then the rest of the arms afterwards. Curious to see if it will be worth the hassle in the end. I really dig the idea of the armory, but oh boy, for some Oathsworn it’s quite a lot (looking at you Exile! Yes you will probably get painted last!).

    What did you put the arms on to hold them up and paint? Or did you use the model?

    I'm pretty new to painting, practicing on my Descent Legends of the Dark minis first, but I think I want to commit to the full thing here if I don't burn out on those

    I used the mini. I just didnt push the arms all the way in so it was easy to tale out while the paint was still wet.
