Are people washing the HIPs pieces and then gluing them? (Minus base and hands of course)

I usually wash all my minis before priming them.. was curious if these are any different.

I don’t wash, everything works fine.

You don't need to for HIPs minis (it doesn't hurt anything though). Resin and PVC minis would require it though.

My Penitent just needs a wash and sealing as well as my Blade. Just have the Ursan, Ranger, Huntress (with eagles), and Exile and then I will have everything painted but the armory.

I have never washed any miniature to get rid of mold release. I think there have been a couple in my whole history of painting minis that I would say have had problems painting due to that. I think I have one satin primer that I used that repels acrylic paints, and gloss paints definitely will. Prime with flat paints and in my experience you won’t have enough problems to make it worth washing and drying every miniature you ever paint.

I've been washing all of mine, not sure if they need it but some have definitely felt like they had some kind of residue on them so I thought why not? Better to be on the safe side and there's something kind of therapeutic about it also 😁

Agreed.. i ended up washing them just to be safe.

||Townsfolk not so much but I did the Men-at-arms allies in uniforms fitting the colours of the 4 towns||

I painted mine: ||in two 6 person patches, variety of grounded colors as I feel these are simple peasants, not really having fancy clothing or colors.||
