And don't be afraid of the armory or having to be super careful with everything if that seems like too much work. You can still do it and be sloppy. I just laid all the weapons down then primed them. Then just held them and painted them...and they turned out great for my purposes. And if a joint didn't fit, just scratch off the paint there.

I highly recommend sticking battlefield grass on everything 😄

With the generic citadel PVA glue, which is transparent when dries up, then some wash (antonian camoshade or biel tan green), boom, moss!

What color did you make the roof on your houses? That’s the one thing I’m not thrilled with mine, the roof seems too bright

I used Vallejo Game Color - Stonewall Grey with a little mix of black to make it a slightly darker grey. Then I poured in a mixture of Liquitex Matte Medium and Flow Aide combo... which can basically turn any color I want into a contrast paint.

Wouldn’t stonewall but slightly darker just be cold grey?

Yeah... that'd probably do it.. but I'm cheap and new, so only own 14 paints 😛

Also, sprayed it all down with a clear matte spray paint to dull the shininess.

I should have used a red for the chimney, then a grey roof wouldn’t bother me. Right now it will like stone to me, which I don’t want. I don’t think these roofs are made of slate shingles 😄

Haha, yeah... I'm sure they're definitely wood shingles... but I needed more contrast from the wood siding... and it looks good to me.

I hate painting terrain

The only thing I don’t like about the light wood color shingles I made is that the overall look of the house doesn’t seem to fit “grim dark”

Just dip it in a vat of dark wood varnish, let it drip dry, then spray with matte, haha... get it all dark and grimey.

I’d have to care enough. I don’t know that I do. Gonna go break out the board and put all the terrain on it and see what I think

Yeah, I'm in that boat... I don't have a ton of time to paint with kids... so usually do an hour or two on work breaks (working from home). I barely get to finish the next boss... and still have to finish the player's Oathsworn before they get killed and choose another.

It actually goes well with those bright spots of color on the board I think.
