A native implementation would be great - it seems like some of the vscode extensions for excalidraw have been removed.

👋 hey! I’ve been a little absent lately, but a general way of embedding files is still on my todo list. For now I’m exporting my draw.io diagrams to SVG and referencing those. It looks as though that’s possible for excalidraw too 🙂

I use the drawio extension in VSCode within my Dendron workspace

question, Why would someone compile/export/transdeploy or whatever to something like 11ty? I mean other than migrating to a different way of doing things, why is there a secontion on deploying through 11ty?

isn't dendron on it's own an SSG ?

vscode automatically updates with the latest. you can see your current version by using lookup

you might need to run “reload window” for the upgrade to complete

yeah, it's not finding the new version. probably a bug with code-server

No dendron uses 11ty for ssg. Dendron irself is for note taking/retrieval.

Hello! I'm looking at the Dendron Onboarding Session video and trying to follow along. However when I create a backlink to a file that does not exist and follow that link a new note is created (success!). However the new file does not have a yaml frontmatter? i.e the

is missing. Anyone have an idea whats that about? 🙂

Which methode of opening the backlink did you use?

I do not understand why javascript shows up multiple times even though I've deleted the file, as you can see from the left pane...

Dendron: Reload Index

to get rid of them and to delete a dendron note you would need to use the command

Dendron: Delete Node

sadly deleting the file itself does not get watched by Dendron to remove the Indexing of it.

Is there any kind of ‘hook’ system in place? For instance, I’d love the ability to tie a hook script to the creation of a daily journal note through the schema. This would, for instance, allow me to ‘carry over’ todo items from one day to the next. When the note is created, the schema specified script would run.

I’d love this as well. Would be nice to able to dynamically insert todo items and randomized journal prompts. My current thought is to write a small file watcher that when it notices a new file, appends stuff to it.

if Dendron core had hooks, others could write extensions that packaged additional features - like carry over or randomized promps

As far as I know there are Synchronisation pods planed maybe they could be used in some way or form.

Hi, a question about creating new workspaces: It seems it's using a localhost web api to do this. How core is this design? Because this is currently blocking working with dendron on the work pc for me personally. Something with issues connecting to the localhost server. probably IT-policy related.

the core functionality is handled in the engine server, which is then passed to the client. so it's pretty core.

this is to isolate the vscode specific logic to the client and keep the core logic platform-agnostic. is localhost absolutely blocked at your workplace?

I guess I don't really understand how/what pods are then. because my understanding of what a sync pod is ... jsut wouldn't solve that use case
