I'm not familiar with the inner working of VSCode but would assume that the shortcut invokes a command that can be called directly (maybe that's just my Emacs background though). You could check if the keyboard shortcuts page has a n entry for these keybindings

Yes. I have done some VS Code extensions before , it should have a command associated that I could invoke, but apparently it´s mapped to "Dendron: Lookup" which is the generic lookup command. I guess there might be some magic on Dendron side as it has different behavior using the hotkey or run that command directly

spaces are supported, its just that we recommend kebab case

instead of creating a separate command for journal and scratch notes (this was how it was implemented originally, we just made everything into a lookup which you can modify via buttons or via configuration: https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/5c213aa6-e4ba-49e8-85c5-1bdcb33ce202.html#configuration) you can map each configuration to a custom command to create a command for journal and scratch notes

heya! when i publish, my asset urls are generated as an absolute url,

/assets/images/...

etc. But my published site does not live at the root of the domain, so images are broken. Is there a way to configure this to work? I can probably add a

<base >

element in the custom header, but then the local browsersync preview wont work

It works if i put the css straight into a style tag in the header, but I havent figured out a uri to use that works with the not-rootness of the domain

Hey guys I’m really struggling with moving away from org mode to Dendron. I really want to but task management in org mode is what is holding me back from using dendron full time. Are there others that have used org mode and transitioned over to dendron?

Hey guys I'm having trouble publishing a site. I've just been following the quick start guide from the site, but there is a video () that seems to teach it a different way. My file structure looks like this (plus the files created by default), however, on the site the only page that is shown is

. Is this an error or am I setting it up incorrectly?

what does "stub" mean in the front matter?

and what determines whether a node gets that or not?

(asking as I somehow ended up with a note that has a plus beside it even though the note exists, and think it may be related, since deleting that from the front matter and reloading fixed it)

stubs are placeholders for notes that aren't actually created

so... why would I ever have a note with stub: true?

I'm wondering too. earlier convos about this leads me to think it's a leftover stub that has no children after refactoring, but it seems to have been fixed?

as well. This may not be intended.

@User has had success using logseq with dendron. i think logseq has org-mode support (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Logseq supports nested lists via markdown's ### heading levels instead of the org mode * stars, so I was able to open my structured notes with both Dendron and Logseq. The programs do linking, embeds, and image reference with different syntaxes, so I ended up making two sets of links, one for denron and one for logseq . While it's not seamless, it's nice to have your notes together in one directory instead of spread across multiple apps. Logseq has a more usable graph view at the moment, the dual pane outliner experience is excellent, and drawing is nice. I really like embedding lists. One thing that's tough with Dendron, Logseq, and Anki alike is deciding which concepts becomes a page. It's something that comes with practice. Dendron is faster to write with, is quick to find and reference notes, and has a nice tablet pen drawing experience with the Markdown Draw extension. They complement each other pretty well- sometimes you just need linked lists, yaknow?

Ive been using snippets for quick note and daily assists in dendron, and putting todos in future journals as reminders. To-do treeextension helps me organize the todos across multiple files. I don't have experience with recurring events though.
