Really cool project btw. I think I like this one the most in this space. Although I found it just a couple of hours ago, but you seem to make the design choices that I like the most from this space.

Just one thing if I may. You guys also do a really good job at hiding the page where one can support the project. My take on this is that open source is great but just as me you need money to get by and you do a decent job with this app so don't be shy about asking for support.

The Hiring part was interesting. I mean I suggested something like the 2 week long contract in my prev places, but I was always turned down. The main reason was that ppl come from other places and they can't afford to trial two weeks at a company while also giving up a job at the previous place. Such interview procedures can work for new grads though.

yeah, we're still experimenting with the format. for folks that are currently can't afford the time, we've been trialling either extending the trial (eg. 1month to work on a particular task) or shortening it (eg. 2 days of working on a task). its not perfect but we've gotten great feedback on it and its much better than whiteboard coding

@User oh wow. I help maintain a Language Server implementation and I was looking at the dependencies of the Code extension. It's pretty small, but still pulls in things like https://github.com/sindresorhus/has-flag/blob/main/index.js and https://github.com/sindresorhus/path-exists/blob/main/index.js. I've always known that the npm ecosystem looks something like this, but seeing it with my own eyes hits really hard.

Also the displaymath functionality is not really working so "$$...$$" should do displaymath in the preview but instead it does a normal math env. Also things like "\begin{align\*}...\end{align\*}" which works with Katex either don't work or are displayed in red.
