I'm in my early 40s, but since I lived in Florida for my first 10 years, I'm just Southern enough that I could mentally symlink "guys" to "folks" without much trouble. 😅

i grew up in so-cal with hippie parents, so i'm not like, uncomfortable with any of this, but my brain just classifies everyone as a dude, regardless of gender identification

Still catches up with me, though. In Southern California, anyone & anything can be addressed with "dude." The sunset is "dude."

I was just saying the same thing! There's a big difference between "a dude" (noun) and "dude" (form of address). Hope you're handling the Midwest! I was in Bloomington, Indiana for a few years and really liked it. Not sure I could handle all the parts without hills, though.

My wife is a web developer and she heard about it through her company's Slack. I usually hear about this kind of thing through Twitter—subscribing to a blog sounds good, but judging from my RSS reader apps, I imagine I'd never actually read it. 😅

Love WSL, especially since they hit v2. @Slaytanical(LamentConfiguration) have you figured out how to use images in your clipboard to use dendrons paste image, with vscode open in WSL?

and when i'm not DRGTKing, i tend to just try to get better at ruby without being forced to focus on webdev.

and as a fanboi, i think Ruby is moving in great directions to steal some thunder in other areas with the features that are being focused on.

I like that about dev languages, each(most) language has a fanbase and if a language is developed well it can draw alot of developers their way
