Not that I am aware of. I tend to apply the policies the same. Now where it come down to online mode vs cache mode is what defines if I go the extra mile and do a office container or not. If they are O365 and use all the other things then I do, I do and allow FSLogix to do the cache mode.“_*Set Outlook cached mode on successful container attach"*_ I even setup Office 2019 in a container at my old places because there online mode was laggy. Took more storage, but the users seems happier I heard others saying just leave it in the Profile side. Meaning no Office container, and allow Outlook to natively go into the profile as it does on a normal profile.

My personal preference is leave it in the container, unless you want different storage tiers for the Office cache, you want to reduce the volume of replication, or you want the capability to reset the Office caches independently of the profile itself

Yeah O365 container and diff disks would give you that, maybe even for OneDrive (although OneDrive would possibly be unsupported in that config)

Good to actually here the confirmation on that. Leave it on the container. I have not done that yet. But soon I will give a whirl. I really don't like having two spots myself.

As to the OP's point I've never changed anything for Office versions, although TBH most of my clients are 365 now
