    FSLogix 26.01 CU1 (critical update) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/overview-release-notes#fslogix-2601-cu1-critical-update
Fixed an issue that prevented ODFC VHD(x) containers from creating or mounting when
    CleanupInvalidSessions
    was enabled.

Tips for removing user profile installed software, like wave browser in an FSLogix/RDS session? I've tried shadowing session, and uninstalling, which prompts for admin credentials.. I enter, but the app still remains

Does anyone use the more advanced frx commands? What use cases are supported? Hi 👋 We're moving away from the Dynamic Environment Manager by Omnissa, mostly due to heavy vibe coding needs of floating users (npm/pip packages, user installed AI IDEs etc.) and the effect it has on login/logoff times. I was wondering: a) If anyone else is going through the same shift and wants to share it's setup and gotchas b) has anyone made use of commands like frx moveto-vhd, copyto-vhd, create-junction, add-redirect the way I understand these is that a startup script would set these up before users logged in to include folders who are external to the user's profile, exampel given by Microsoft are different drives, folders on C drive. Is this correct? are there any places utilizing these? Thanks in advance 🙏

FSLogix 26.01 CU1 - OneDrive Issue Since upgrading to the latest FSLogix build, we get a popup notification (below) on logon saying "_OneDrive isn't logged in_"...but a few seconds later it logs in and functions perfectly. If we revert to the older build, that popup goes away and every is fine. We found that if we enable the "Roam Identity" feature in FSLogix, that popup goes away. We don't really want to enable 'Roam Identity', as it was legacy and not suggested for use. Anyone else seeing this OneDrive notification issue?

I would use multiple storage providers, and look at backup2 to do the sync.

what is your guys optinions/experiences with running FSLogix profile containers from a Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC)? The only thing from Microsoft is that Continuous Availability should be enabled on the share https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-netapp-files/enable-continuous-availability-existing-smb

Enlighten me on RoamIdentity... chatgpt is saying its not on or is missing for FSLogix (it might be, will check soon)..but at some point, and maybe this started happening when I upgraded FSlogix version from a pretty old one a few months ago, that users are now frequently having to re-authenticate to office apps (outlook/word, etc).. requiring a Duo MFA prompt, etc.

I’m trying to design high availability for FSLogix profile containers and folder redirection in a small on‑prem environment. I’d like to mirror the “Multiple SMB Locations with Single VHD Path and DFS” approach described in this article by James Kindon: https://jkindon.com/architecting-for-fslogix-containers-high-availability/ Is anyone doing something similar? If so, what are you using to replicate the FSLogix containers and redirected folders between SMB locations (DFS‑R, storage replication, third‑party tools, etc.)? In particular, does anyone have experience using Dell RecoverPoint to replicate FSLogix containers and/or folder redirection data to a secondary site? How has it worked out for you in terms of performance, consistency, and failover/failback?

is it still advisable to use separate container for profiles and office data? or has everyone been just using the profile container. I always kept them separate, but not sure if that is really being done anymore. i can't find what MS recommends anymore. i saw one link where it said to use one profile container for both profile and office data..just wondering what everyone else thinks..thx

I see a lot of posts about the "10 hour FSLogix" issue with kerberos ticket time. Our org is asking (telling) us they are moving to 4 hour kerberos tickets. Is that an "old" issue, or still something that is a problem? If it's still a problem, is it a "it might happen, might not" or a "oh, just hang it up, after 4 hours everyone's session is toast" kind of issue?

I've updated to the latest FSLogix on a 2019 RDS farm. I'm battling tokens, etc. I have RoamIdentity = DISABLED (per some of your comments). However, some users (I'm not sure its all) are getting "Your privacy matters" screen when they open outlook everytime, or prompted for MFA, etc. Need to solve this once and for all. I'm not using Office containers either, per other recommendations.

So got a customer who is using Cloud Cache. They seem to think that Cloud Cache means there is a copy of the VHDX taken on a local disk and there is therefore zero I/O to the network at all which then just "syncs back" at logoff. AFAIK this is not how Cloud Cache works - it just caches "hot blocks" locally and then uses them in outage scenarios, IIRC. Or has it evolved somewhat and I am missing the point? They certainly seem convinced that Cloud Cache is some miracle "local profile" tech

I am migrating users from W22 to W25. Users get a new UPM profile but keep their ODFC container used for EXO cache file. Pilot, and for a while all good but now it seems some users are seeing oddity like emails read are not read anymore, email moved to a folder back to inbox, etc. hard to get enough evidence from SD ... But it seems for most cases there is a correlation with the migration. Almost the same O365 version between W22 and W25, one minor version behind on W22, W25 up to date. So do you reset your ODFC when you migrate? Thanks!

Hi all has anyone run Aaron parkers fslogix profile clean up scripts either the logon/logoff script or the profile cleanup script which is ran when users are not logged in and the container is not in use ? . The scripts will delete the data but does anyone know if it will compact the containers to free up the white space? I have a bunch of data in a single location within multiple users profile containers i need to delete and these scripts are perfect but i need to reduce the size of the users profile containers and free up space on backend storage https://stealthpuppy.com/fslogix/profilecleanup/

Since yesterday several of our customer's monitoring alerted us, that Fileserver drives, which host FSLogix VHDX files, see significant usage growth. We had to emergency expand several drives today and yesterday, to stop a potential Citrix outage. Anybody else seeing significant VHDX growth in the last few days?

Did anyone ever encounter problems with programs updating/doing automatic file renamings inside an FSLogix Profile and know the root cause and solution to this? We have a legacy application that lives in the user’s roaming profile %APPDATA%\Prosytec\WMSClient.exe The program runs great. No issues. BUT its weird Update-Process occacionally bricks the programm: It updates itself when starting WMSClient.exe by downloading WMSClient.upd, renaming the running/current WMSClient.exe to .old, renaming .upd to .exe, and starting the new version. This works most of the time, but sometimes the application crashes during the update. In one case, the rename to .old repeatedly failed with error 650, referring to an invalid device object or a device object not attached to the specified volume. In a later case, it crashed even earlier, immediately after WMSClient.upd appeared, before .old was created. Now why do I post this in the fslogix channel? I moved the whole application folder from AppData to the user’s redirected Documents folder. That location is not part of the FSLogix container and is hosted on a Linux Samba file server. Since then, the application appears to update and run correctly.
