Has anyone run into a problem where as soon as you modify the exclusions file users begin getting temp profiles on sessions? Only 4 lines added for new teams cache. I can share the files if needed. FSLogix 3.25.401.15305.

anyone using the BvcKup tool to replicate vhdx's to another site and getting this. Deleting the OST works but trying to prevent that. "Outlook is using an old copy of your Outlook data file (.ost)"

I don't that is a BckBup issue; i have same issue with just file copy to different share for DR. FSLogix 2210 HF4, both Windows 10/2022, Profile and ODFC in use. It is like Exchange Online knows some metadata is modified and says OST is out of date. I gave up and forced OnlineMode in DR for now. I has to be FSLogix as we know Exchange Cached Mode works fine on physical devices when OST is created on one machine and may not be accessed for days/weeks. Another post on same subject said they abandoned ODFC and use straight profile for now and issue went away. ( i have not tried that in our customer site for now).

Deploying Visio... Does hiding the app suffice for license compliance, or, should I explore Citrix published apps to handle Visio to ensure that non-licensed users don't end up consuming a license? I'm hearing from my counterpart this is the only app he deploys with Published apps instead of just using app hiding policies. Thoughts from the peanut gallery? We've never done Citrix published apps as we're coming from ProfileUnity FlexApps

Stupid question: If I would like users to launch multiple sessions from different delivery groups, but have OneDrive available to all sessions, is the solution to move back to UPM to avoid issues/limitations of OneDrive containers with FSLogix?

Python on Windows 11 with FSLogix... App hiding and security footprint... Thoughts? I'm concerned that installing Python and then hiding it still poses risk for scripts, environment manipulations, or privilege escalation techniques... Does anyone store their FSLogix container on a drive formatted with the REFS file system instead of NTFS? If so, have you experienced any issues because of that? I couldn't find anything in the FSLogix documentation recommending REFS over NTFS. However, I did read that REFS is better for larger files like VHDs and VHDX. Just wondering what everyone is using.

currently using Cloud cache with x2 SMB providers set via CCDlocations. We have new storage in primary and DR site and i have setup the share and NTFS perms on the new storage in both sites. Application Masking (RuleEditor)... I'm having trouble with managed assignment enforcement... Certain security groups in AD I'm apart of, "work", but other security groups, even in the same OU, don't. Adding myself naturally works. Ideas? Almost sounds like an issue with FSLogix being unable to read a security group, or parse it, or some kind of collision. Thoughts?

For example, SITE.GROUP.VDI.NotePadPlus, which I'm a member of, NotePadPlus hiding applies. However if I add SITE.GROUP.VDI.TEAM, which I'm also a member of, I have access to NotePadPlus... Both of those security groups are in the same OU in AD

Does anyone see corrupted profiles with session idle timeouts in citrix + fslogix? We see about two a week where the session idle limit hits, session is logged off but its as if the session doesn't properly detach and a corrupted profile at next login.

We're using azure blob storage to store our VHDX profiles for our cloud VDI solution. To overcome possible IOPS constrains on the blob storage, we're thinking to split out which blob the user connects to at login. Thinking of using Group Policy with Item-Level Targeting and/with LDAP queries. Has anyone done this successfully? I want to try to keep management overhead low while not impacting user login time as much as possible.

anyone know if i there is a syntax i can use that will automatically create a new VHDX per OS each time a user logs in to a different server OS? i set this up but Windows 2019 and 2025 have the same major number... os build syntax won't work b/c that can change after a windows update a create a new vhdx.

Anyone still seeing the recycle bin issue on 25.04? I have the gpo set to enabled with disabled in the drop down selected. Registry key appears to be there / set to 0. Release notes said it was supposed to be fixed in this version

We're on 25.04 with Server 2022 RDS cluster Getting these event IDs where the profile containers are saved on the RDG: Event 153: The IO operation at logical block address 0x35a08fb for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000029) was retried. And separately: Event 51: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk3\DR16 during a paging operation. And others: - there is no E: drive Event 140: The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: E:, DeviceName: \Device\HarddiskVolume21. Event 137: The default transaction resource manager on volume E: encountered a non-retryable error and could not start. The data contains the error code. Event 16: The shadow copies of volume E: were aborted because volume E:, which contains shadow copy storage for this shadow copy, was force dismounted. Sorry about the vomit on first comment

Anyone heard any updates on when FSLogix will support "New Outlook"?

has anyone seen where FSlogix disk compact is enabled and it runs even with the Optimize Drives service being disabled? According to MS the Optimize Drives service must be set to manual or automatic, but i still see events in the profile logs that Disk compact is running upon log off. some of the entries say "Disk was not compacted, Reason: Compact not called because a diff disk exists" so that means it still runs w/o that service and MS just hasn't updated their documentation. Or is it failing b/c the service is not running? If the service was running and i got the message i would know for sure its the Diff disk exists causing but not sure since the service is not running. just wanted to see what you guys have seen...

Has anyone already tried the Windows App on a Sessionhost with FSLogix installed? It is getting resetted every logoff. You get the first run page and the favorites deleted for example. It only appeares if fslogix is activated.

Had to migrate some profiles recently and cannot with the latest FSLogix build. Has anyone managed to successfully use FRX copy-profile with recent versions of FRX.EXE? I consistently get "Error copying profile (0x00000001): Incorrect function." Have reverted back to using FRX.EXE from the 2.9.8612.60056 build. Has anyone got a fix for an issue where users cant open shared calendars? The Win11 Citrix VDI desktops are running the latest version of FSLogix. The shared calendar get stuck in 'Updating' when opened and nothing happens. Ive tried disabling DL of shared folders. It clears the 'Updating' status but then fails to say it cant open the calendar. It opens without issue via webmail, cheers

We are currently experiencing an issue involving Cura (3D printing software), Omnissa Horizon Instant Clones (Windows 11, 24H2) and FSLogix (version 25.04). The application can be started once, but no printers can be added. When we close the app and restart it, we get the same error mentioned on GitHub for Azure CLI: https://github.com/Azure/azure-cli/issues/31085 Reverting to 2210 HF4 does resolve the issue, but I am reluctant to downgrade the production version, given that we have just transitioned to Win11 and new containers created with 25.04. Excluding both Cura folders in AppData and LocalAppData using redirection.xml does not resolve the issue for me. Does anyone have any advice, or should we hope for a future fix? What issues should we expect when downgrading from 25.04 to 2210 HF4?

Is there a way to prevent ODFC to mount for published app? I have some app published against the same worker than our prod Desktop. So I can't scope a GPO for it. The only condition that would work is if pub app, do not mount it. I don't think it's possible, is it? Thanks!

Can wildcards be used in a Registry Value Hiding Rule? i.e. all OPEN values HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Excel\Options\OPEN* What I've found mentioned wildcards can only be used in a Redirection Rule in the Source path.

Hi, one of my customers uses FSLogix Profile containers on Windows Server 2016 Terminalserver. FSLogix Version: 3.25.401.15305 Almost every day, he receives the error message “The semaphore timeout period has expired.” for a few users in the FSLogix logs. The user then receives a temporary profile. The first 5 - 7 users can log in without any problems on the Terminalserver. The FSLogix share is located on a Netapp fileserver.
