NTuser.dat is holding someones fslogix profile hostage. Proxmon shows the "system" and "registry" is using it. Tried restarting fslogix. Any other ways to unlock it?

Folks, with lots of chatter about New Outlook, has anyone tested in a multisession / non-persistent setup? Assuming Classic Outlook with cache configuration is the recommended way to stick with, but keen to get others take and thinking on this, cheers

Got an interesting one.. I know MS has reported some exchange issues today, which might be causing this, but a weird error if so. Question about FSLogix Exclusions for OneDrive. We are using OneDrive's 'Files-On-Demand' function. I've noticed that FSLogix is capturing any downloaded files, and they remain marked as available in new sessions, and it is actually saved in the VHDX. Just curious if you all add an Exclusion for the OneDrive path to prevent this from bloating the user's FSLogix container.

Anyone ever seen this happen when logging in with a local account? Tried adding it explicitly to the Exclude group, and still get this error

Anybody experiencing issues with AADBroker roaming? Got a non-persistent AVD setup with 2 servers. Users use a 2nd Outlook account from outside the tenant. The SSO of their own tenant works correctly, but they have to log into the 2nd Tenant in Outlook each and every time. Roaming Identity is active, but when I check the VHD after the user logs off, the AADBroker folder in AppData is there, but empty.

I've got a customer who are using Profile Containers only but they reckon they've been instructed by MS to turn on the "IncludeTeams" policy setting for ODFC which allegedly fixed some of their issues. Way I look at it, the only effect this would have would be to stop Teams cache being captured into the Profile Container. Is my thinking right? Without having ODFC set to Enabled or a VHDLocations configured for it, I can't see how this would even do anything?

If I want to hide a folder in the user's start menu for all users is FSLogix the right tool to do it, i've tried putting in %appdata% in the object name and it says Invalid Path Specified

when using azure for your Fslogix storage looking at files and handles it doesnt show what server is locking the VHDX is there a easy way to find the machine that has it locked?

Been a long time since I used FSLogix. It's 2025, is there still not a feature that will retroactively purge data that has since been excluded, or is scripting a cleanup still the only way?

Curious, can you flip that registry key/policy setting to name the FSLogix profile folders username_SID instead of the default SID_username at any time? or do you have to rename the folders on your own?

Hi all! AVD Windows 11 24H2 setup with Fslogix 25.06. Users are reporting that they get this "Something went wrong..." from time to time. The event log logs event id 10 and 23 as in the attachment when they sign in to Windows, probably when OneDrive starts, I guess. Hello, we have a strange problem with FSLogix Profile Container. Our customer needs about 2-3 minutes to open his Citrix session. When connecting, it hangs for about 2 minutes on : Waiting on Fslogix Apps Service.. We upgrade to the latest fslogix version but the problem is already here. Antivirus exclusions are added but same problem. Do you have some ideas ? Thanks

Anyone using Cloud Cache to replicate profiles between two Azure regions? If so, how long do your logoffs take? I'm seeing session take up to a minute to logoff "Waiting on FSLogix Apps". I have disk compaction and roam recycling bin disabled. It may be expected behavior but just wanted to double check

Latest version of fslogix does not release containers on fully patched Win11 25H2 multi-session VDAs. Anyone else seeing issues? @Jason Parker

We are seeing some issues with indexing Onedrive in our Windows 11 vdi VM's. We use FSLogix and run W11 24H2. In FSLogix we disabled Roam Search. The options to enable Cloud Content search are both enabled. When we search for a file which we can clearly see we get no results. When we disable/enable indexing of the C:\users\username we can search for files in onedrive. no matter if they are cloud only, cached or available offline. This issue only happens with cloud-only and cached files. Maybe some of you have any idea?

Hi everyone - debated on whether to post this in VAD or FSLogix channels but since we're using FSLogix for our profiles I thought here would be the better option. For quite a while now we've dealt with the issue of random "temp profiles" where a user attempts to reconnect (most often the case) or establish a new session and they start a new session on a temp profile. The vast majority of the time when reviewing the FSLogix logs, the temp profile occurs because the profile disk is locked by another session. A complicating factor has been getting accurate information from our help desk on what the user was actually doing when they received the temp profile...ie clicking the desktop icon 27 times, starting a new session vs reconnecting, did they hit idle then disconnected timer during lunch and come back to a temp profile, etc. VAD 2402 LTSR CU2, Server 2022 VDA, FSLogix 3.25.822.19044

I'm going to be migrating over to new server 2025 and some users to windows 11. Should i consider moving away from FSlogix to UPM VHD profiles? forget carrying over user data in this equation although I believe there is some import method.

Customer would like to use single DG for both apps and desktops, as they do now with Ivanti. using FSLogix profile containers, what do others do? separate profile location so that you have container for apps and desktops or single location and use the Profile Type 3 for RW/RO option?

Hi, I'm having an issue with Windows 11 and FSLogix (I think), when the users logs off, it get stuck on "Signing out", after 8-10 minutes the session is disconnected. Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.6060 CVAD 2507 FSLogix 25.09 (same with 25.06) Only profile container. FSlogix policy see screenshot. No AV on the file server (testing environment and isolated). Anyone having an idea?

Hi - we are looking to migrate from Omnissa Horizon to Microsoft AVD. Our users on Omnissa save their files to Desktop and Documents and most likely have Chrome bookmarks. Can we migrate these files from our on-prem Omnissa FSLogix to our new cloud AVD FSLogix?
