FSLogix - OS Migration Hello all, I cannot find the information on Microsoft web site but does FSLogix support profile migration from one Windows version to another ? (ex : Windows 2016 to Windows 2022). I know that Citrix does not support it except with the automatic profile migration feature which copy only part of registry and folders. Thank you for replying. PS : OS will not be updated, it a new installation on new VMs.

FSlogix appears to be killing Edge web apps that users create. I have found several other sites that describe the same issue. I am currently experiencing an issue after setting up a new FSlogix Fileshare. We’re evaluating Windows 11 24H2 with omnissa Horizon and decided that we want a fresh start with profiles with a new Fileshare. While testing some users just cannot login and are presented with the please wait for the fslogix apps services which eventually times out. I have checked the permissions on both fileshares and they’re identical. Also pulled all logs vom the VDI VMs but could not find any issue. No issues with the old Fileshare and Windows 10 22H2. Old Fileshare is on 2019 and the new one on 2022. VHDX is created for the users but never gets past ~102mb size. Tried with 2210 Hotfix 4 and 25.02 Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks

Doing cutover testing from using FlexApps via ProfileUnity to FSLogix... Outlook add-ins... Any magic to making them work? We have a Marking and Designation tool which is being pushed to us from a group policy outside my control. Looks like it still loads, but it's behavior is odd... Normally a pop-up would come up for end users to classified their emails if they weren't already prior to sending, however you have to manually apply it, first, in FSLogix... OFDC handling or policy difference in terms of pop-ups in Outlook add-ons?

Also any ideas why some people's smartcard UAC would work and others wouldn't, all things equal in terms of permissions?

General question. FSLogix vs others. If others, i.e., AppSense (Ivanti) or ProfileUnity were free. Would you still go with FSLogix? Also, anyone here migrated from one of these to FSLogix because FSLogix was a better solution or simply due to costs?

Is there a way to split fslogix profile locations? we have a cifs shared called profiles where everyone goes. we need to do a DR test where we put handful of profiles in a folder called profile2. Users in the test go to profile2 folder then DR test starts with cutover etc. The profile location key is in HKLM

I'm attempting to use this method of mounting Azure Files for a native Entra based AVD host pool. But FSLogix will not use the share and reports [ERROR:00000035] LoadProfile failed. Version: 3.25.401.15305 SessionId: 2. FrxStatus: 31 (The network path was not found.). As the user I can easily browse the path of the Azure files and create/delete folder despite no custom credentials. I'm succesfully creating the SAS key in credential manager which appears to work fine. If I remove the "access network as computer account" I do see the FSlogix logs report invalid name or password so it appears to be trying as computer when configured properly. Anyone seen this? I'm stumped as everything but FSlogix seems quite happy to use the share. I can even create drive mappings etc.

Question regarding Conditional Access, Fslogix and Edge. The setup consist of AVD hosts which are AD-joined only, no hybrid. SSO to 365 apps are working fine. So, on profile creation we get the MFA prompts for 365 apps, Edge (intranet site) and so on. On subsequent logins only the OneDrive and Office apps "remember" that we already are approved (I guess the 90 days rolling windows is working as it should here) but when we start edge and go to the SharePoint online site we are prompted for MFA again - not 100 on this but during the day it works even if logging out/in but when the next morning after machine reboot the problem occur again. We have Roam Identity configured for Fslogix.

Guys, is there any formal recommendation from Microsoft on sharing an FSLogix profile container across multiple operating Systems? I have a customer that has users that need to use a mix of Win10, Win11 and Server 2022. I've run similar before and not had much in the way of issues but keen to call out any vendor/official guidance, cheers

How do you guys handle Recycle Bins with FSLogix? I'm not entirely talking about roaming, but more of how to empty a users recycle bin after X days or whatever so the profile will shrink next logout

Just noticed that it appears fslogix is not deleting the metadata file at session logout. I haven’t heard of any issues but now that I look at it, it looks like quite a few users who are not logged in still have the file present. • OS - 2019 • FSLogix - 2.9.8884.27471 • File Server - Nutanix Files Anyone else seen this? I do see some smoke about this on the forums but so far nothing has aligned. I may try updating it anyway. Very curious if users are having issues when trying to log in in this condition.

Has anyone experienced crashes on frxsvc.exe? It's not much better in 25.04. Dumps seem to incriminate msvcp140.dll.

Has anyone run into a problem where as soon as you modify the exclusions file users begin getting temp profiles on sessions? Only 4 lines added for new teams cache. I can share the files if needed. FSLogix 3.25.401.15305.

anyone using the BvcKup tool to replicate vhdx's to another site and getting this. Deleting the OST works but trying to prevent that. "Outlook is using an old copy of your Outlook data file (.ost)"

I don't that is a BckBup issue; i have same issue with just file copy to different share for DR. FSLogix 2210 HF4, both Windows 10/2022, Profile and ODFC in use. It is like Exchange Online knows some metadata is modified and says OST is out of date. I gave up and forced OnlineMode in DR for now. I has to be FSLogix as we know Exchange Cached Mode works fine on physical devices when OST is created on one machine and may not be accessed for days/weeks. Another post on same subject said they abandoned ODFC and use straight profile for now and issue went away. ( i have not tried that in our customer site for now).

Deploying Visio... Does hiding the app suffice for license compliance, or, should I explore Citrix published apps to handle Visio to ensure that non-licensed users don't end up consuming a license? I'm hearing from my counterpart this is the only app he deploys with Published apps instead of just using app hiding policies. Thoughts from the peanut gallery? We've never done Citrix published apps as we're coming from ProfileUnity FlexApps
