I have done this several times without issues.
j
I’ve done this in past and in testing recently without issues.
b
Hmm, thanks guys!
Having a crap ton of issues. Not sure if it’s related to the newly released driver or CC. Had to turn off VHD Compacting, some machines were hanging on logout for hours, which, in hindsight I prob should’ve turned that off out of the gate. This was causing login issues because users can’t get back in while their old vm is hung trying to compact. But still having tons of login problems even with it off. Time to roll back and abandon Cloud Cache. Again! What a turd!
Does anyone use Cloud Cache with App Layering successfully? Does the unidesk filter driver altitude need to be adjusted just like without CC? I only ask because we can never get CC working on any FSL version. And this time around we were seeing issues with elastic layers attaching on top of all the profile problems.
b
Yes, but we’re not using Elastic Layers.
b
Yes to the altitude adjustment too?
b
We have altitude set, but since we’re not doing elastic layers, I don’t think the app layering filter driver is active, making the altitude moot.
b
Gotcha, thanks. I'm stumped as to why we always have so many problems with CC. Standard FSL works fine for years now. Every time we attempt CC we get profiles issues: failed to attach, black screens, looong logins, delayed logouts, permanently locked profiles, and more. I give up.
b
We gave up on elastic layers; our AV vendor would find ghost viruses for files that didn’t exist. I believe this can be fixed with an altitude adjustment, but we haven’t been back to revisit.
