Yeah agreed. A separate share on the same storage but without CA is the way in that case. I've seen people do it with SOFS and it's painful, the server don't exchange the session information fast enough (or there is lag) and you get file locks but you can't see them. The only way I found to clear the is a reboot. I love the tech though. It opens up alot of options.
