IKR. Sounds like maybe office is changing the default type when it opens? Have you verified current FTAs for ePub files? Also I have used SetUserFTA to force-set FTAs. I did play around with that a while back, as well as using WEM for FTA. We currently just use a custom OEMDefaultAssociations.xml file, which has worked well thus far. WINWORD.exe was setting it on my last test, but Explorer.exe just set it on this latest test. Either way, I'm cracking the image open and adding an association for epub's to Edge and seeing if that resolves it. If so, I'll just go that route for now.
