Do you have the antivirus exclusions in place?
c
I am using defender. Works great when I delete the upm and create a new one.. might submit a ticket.

I dont have any antivirus exclusions in-place. Are there any recommendations from Microsoft?

• Scan on connect for attached VHD(x) files / drives • VHD(x) files themselves • The FSLogix processes (frxsvc and frxccds) and the three drivers (frxdrv, frxdrvvt, frxccd) • The files in the FSLogix install directory (c:\program files\fslogix\apps) and sub directories. • See the note on frxrobocopy.exe on this page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/fslogix-installed-components-functions-reference • The files in (this is for CCD storage) in the c:\programdata\fslogix\proxy and \cache directories Source: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/b13ace13-773f-4420-9545-fe38256ea4fe/antivirus-exclusions?forum=FSLogix

Many thanks for the input. I made the exclusions. Let’s see what comes up.
Currently we are always notified by our customers in case they have problems or the disc is not attached. I’ve been trying to write a script to proactively monitor whether all discs have been unmounted by users who are no longer logged on. I wrote a script for this purpose and it works inside Powershell ISE, but when I run it through Task Scheduler it doesn’t work at all. In general I would like to get some feedback on the script. What could be done differently or better. Many thanks.

If I were writing this code, I think I would scan the event log for log off events every 15 minutes, and take that username in the event, construct SID and disk name, then check against the SOFS to see if the file is open. You can reuse my check file open code in the FSLogix backup utility on my github.

Regarding running as a scheduled task, if it is not working in that context, this is typically permissions related. Does the task even start? When doing stuff like this I like to have my script generate an operational log file and a debug log file, and write a debug log entry after each action containing object states. This way you can effectively debug the script while it is running under that context.
