I have a script that might help you out
But Diskpart is usually the way to go
Expand a VHDX container (FSLogix, User Profile Disk etc.)
a
ok because i read somewhere that you have to create a new vhdx and then use the frx.exe command
k
You can do that, it's the long way around 🙂
a
let me check the script 😉
k
Please test my script with a non-critical container 😉
a
yes 😉
k
You can either point directly at a container VHDX or a directory of VHDX files
Away from keyboard for about 30 mins
a
thanks kasper
a stupid question , if i just open the vhdx with a hyper-v console , and expand it from there , is this the same ?
k
Yes, basically. My script does some defragging also
..but you will be able to use the Resize-vhd command to expand the container
a
thanks kasper

This is great! Thx for sharing. Until now I only found scripts that rely on the Hyper-V CMDlets, which I don't have installed. I like your diskpart approach.
