I've modified the URL's to add wild cards so that anything running from that domain name should be caught by the rule but on some launches it works and on others it doesn't.
The Microsoft docs for this is a bit confusing stating that, Java 1.6.0_10 or later is supported but Java 1.4.2 and later is supported for redirection. I'm assuming redirection is for when setting a rule with a URL and not an application.
k
I am just reading the same thing and I agree that it is confusing
I guess the 1.4.2 is for redirection as you state and 1.6.0 is for applications
Could you send the rules you have created? I'll test them out in my lab
k
Hi Kasper, These are rules that invoke when launching one of two intranet sites so can only be launched on our internal network.
k
THanks I'll finde some other java test sites, I expect the results will be the same?
k
👍 We also have stratosglobal.net added to local intranet zone via GPO.
k
Are you using the 32-bit version of Java?
k
Yes
Also launching the 32bit version of IE
k
Thanks...just starting my Windows 10 test machine
Hmm...struggling a bit with Java 1.50 in WIndows 10
Are you using Windows 10 or something older?
k
I'm using Server 2016
k
Spinning up my 2016 test machine instead
So I've been testing a bit, and it's pretty consistent at my end. However I am only testing with java.com and javatester.org. I have installed Java 1.5.0_12 and the latest Java 8

Ok, thanks for checking. This seems to be working directly from the vdi but when launched via published app it seems to show this behavior. I'll do a bit more digging my end. Thanks again.
